Flex Mold DIY

We got the call to remodel a fireplace, hearth and full wrap mantle. Unique in many ways, this full wrap fireplace mantle would have a pair of arched recessed panels in the center below the crown top sitting above the columns on both sides of the fire box.
No exotic wood species here though, my clients wanted it painted white. So we built her out of 3/4″ MDF [multi-density-fiberboard] with some various El & El moldings to create something extraordinary!

Any above average painter can fau out this resin flex molding too, so even all the real wood lovers can enjoy a radius molding appearance without the extra shop tools and mind bending , wood bending tasks. Whatever the type of molding you are using, IE., baseboards, casings or even a 5 1/2″ crown molding , then the flex mold can bend – curve or wrap around to meet up with any other common or custom molding your using.

Underneath the arch , a piece of flat stock was implemented to return and butt into the face of the travertine stone that was used on the wall and hearth areas of this fire place.

This resin pour custom flex mold is highly pliable and very much paintable or stained. Acts like wood when cutting – nailing – sanding or glueing , for any DIY ‘er thats ready to make a difference!My-diy.net

Whether yours is a Genie or a Liftmaster or what have you, the common denominator is the remote control. Constant in the new age world is the batteries that automate our lives. The surprising tie into all ts is how much we humans rely upon the clickers. A woman in front of me recently asked for my help, when i asked her with what exactly she said her “garage door.”After a few seconds the root of her problem was it would not cooperate and open for her. But the garage door repair she had needed was’nt the garage door per say , but the remote control had been dropped and broken, so she had no clue how if it was not whole and she could not (click) then how in the world can she get inside? I simply showed her how the button activates the inside and the magic happens.garage door remote control Her reply was of coarse thank you so much and how she can make it up to me in the future, but with that thought i have to say, please just DIY and understand how things are “magically” facilitated. And her forever’s will forever. As humans and existing in this era it is paramount to still understand just how basic so many of these ideas that seem to gratify and simplify everything in our lives are!

For a garage door repair depending on the problem of course, the idea here folks is you can DIY and save the fee of phoning the guy. What is the issue? If one hinge is loose or broken a simple tightening may correct the problem, before the next hinge goes bad and so on and so on. A nickel in time theory comes to mind because if attention is needed the sooner you get attending the less the damage.changing a garage door hinge4 bolt overhead garage door hingeJust as the 2 images show here, a overhead roll up garage door hinge is pretty basic. 4 bolts with an adjustable wrench in your DIY tool box and 15 minutes max, could save you a $75.00 service call. A few dollars for the part and a little elbow grease, you have just enable the new repair on your garage door to continue to perform for you and your family, but instill the whole mantra that you can DIY, way to go my friends!
