Sliding doors have been used since the first century in Roman houses, which were discovered in Pompeii, Italy by Archaeologists. A interior sliding door is a type of door which opens horizontally by sliding. There are many types of sliding doors. Sliding doors are commonly used for shower doors, glass doors and wardrobe doors. Enough of the word “Doors” already. Let’s talk about a wardrobe fixer-upper. Sliding Doors have multiple uses. My sliding door for my closet, is a mirrored door which I can use for checking out my outfit, doing my hair, applying makeup, etc. Anything you would use a normal mirror for. Another use for my mirror is for hiding all my dirty clothes so my room gets the impression as “clean”. On my mirrored closet sliding door, It has a gold frame finish. On the inside, my dad put shelfs and racks to keep it more organized. Which is a good cheap renovation (He just told me it only cost about 50$).
In my opinion, A sliding glass door is much better than a cheap curtain on your shower or bath. A curtain can get stained and dirty, which means it needs to be washed (unless you like dirty shower curtains, which is fine by me..i guess). So think about investing in a Sliding Glass Door for your bathroom. Or, for your entrance to your backyard/patio. If the Romans did it, so can you. GOOD LUCK!
